The AI Access Project

Free AI literacy for students & teachers

AI is already in the classroom. Knowing how to use it shouldn't depend on your zip code.

We teach middle schoolers, high schoolers and teachers in under-resourced communities how AI works, how to use it well, and how to stay safe with it. The digital literacy gap is becoming an income gap. We're working to close it.

For teachers

Educator training

A six-session course that gives teachers the skills to use AI in lesson planning and the classroom, building toward Google's Gemini Certified Educator exam.

For youth

Session series

A 5–6 session series on what AI is, how to use it, and how to use it safely.

For middle & high school

Workshops

Hands-on workshops that introduce middle and high school students to AI and how to use it responsibly.

What we teach

The basics everyone needs now

How AI works

What a chatbot is actually doing, in plain language, without the hype.

Using it well

Asking clear questions and getting useful help with schoolwork and projects.

Checking its work

AI makes mistakes with confidence. Students learn to verify before they trust.

Staying safe

What not to share, how to protect your privacy, and where AI can be unfair.

Founder

Ahana Gandhi

I'm a student researcher who studies how people come to trust AI. As AI spreads, the digital literacy gap is widening income inequality.

I started The AI Access Project to teach the people most likely to be left out: students in under-resourced schools, and the teachers who shape their classrooms.
